No. 21 Argos Sweep Lady Bucs

Hannah Kurtz had 11 kills in the Lady Bucs' three-set loss at No. 21 West Florida Friday night.
Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla.-No. 21 West Florida hit .280 as a team as they claimed a three-set sweep over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night.

The Argos (8-4, 3-1 GSC) built a 21-10 lead in the opening set and held on to win 25-19, completing the match by winning 25-11 and 25-13 in the final two sets.

Hannah Kurtz (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) led the Lady Bucs (3-8, 1-2) with 11 kills. Brittany Toney (Rockledge, Fla./Rockledge HS) logged a match-best 15 digs, and Sami Gruse (Lafayette, Ind./Central Catholic HS) added 10, while Jessica Reber (Byron, Ill./Byron HS) had 18 assists.

Autumn Duyn paced UWF with 14 kills, and Sierra Hansen had 20 assists. Tori Martella led the Argos with 13 digs.

The Lady Bucs return to action tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. as they visit West Alabama. Their home opener is set for Friday night, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. as they host Shorter.
