MEMPHIS–Visiting Drury scored three first-half goals as they claimed a 3-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Thursday night at Signaigo Field in the season opener for both schools.

The Panthers (1-0) struck quickly, with Ryan Haas heading in an Eric Heet corner kick just under four minutes into the game. They tacked on another goal in the 22nd minute as Matt Clarkin found Scott Stiffler with a cross and Stiffler found the net from the top of the 18-yard box.

Drury set the final margin in the 35th minute, as Nick Ammann scored off a double-assist from Mitchell Waters and Jack Mathis.

The Bucs (0-1) out-shot Drury 16-10 for the game, with a 5-4 edge in shots on goal, but Drury goalkeeper Blake Andrews made all five saves to preserve the shutout.

The Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they host Dallas Baptist.
