JACKSON, Tenn.–The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs battled host Union to a scoreless draw in a non-conference game at Union Friday night in the season opener for both schools.

The Lady Bucs (0-0-1) controlled play for much of regulation, out-shooting the Bulldogs (0-0-1) 13-7 over the first 90 minutes. The Bulldogs held a 4-1 edge in shots in the extra 20 minutes, but again neither side could find the net before the final whistle.

Junior goalkeeper Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) collected her ninth career shutout, making five saves in the process. She has now posted a shutout in the season opener in all three seasons as she moved into a tie for third place on CBU's career shutouts list, two behind second-place Libby Hake.

Alex Bickenbach (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) led the Lady Bucs with four shots, and Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) took three.

The Lady Bucs return to action Sunday morning at 11 a.m. as they welcome Young Harris College to Signaigo Field.
