Lady Bucs' Streak Ends in 66-40 Loss at Lee

Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn.-Host Lee outscored the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 36-16 in the second half as they pulled away to a 66-40 win, ending the Lady Bucs' winning streak at three games.

The Lady Bucs (7-5, 3-3 GSC) opened the game on a 15-6 run, taking the nine-point lead on a Breanna Ridgell (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) jumper with 14:17 remaining in the half. After the teams traded baskets, it was all Lee (8-4, 4-2) the rest of the way. A 19-4 run put the Lady Flames ahead for good, with a Hollie German three-point play lifting them to a 27-21 lead with 2:39 remaining in the half.

The Lady Bucs shot just 25 percent (6-of-24) in the second half as Lee pulled away quickly.

Ridgell led the Lady Bucs with 14 points and three assists, while Erica Burgess (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) and Taylor Pugh (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) added six each.

Jenna Adams led the Lady Flames with 28 points and 13 rebounds. German scored 15, and Lockhart scored 13 with four blocks.

For the game, CBU shot 36.2 percent (17-of-47) to the Lady Flames' 41.2 percent (21-of-51). Lee held a 39-26 edge on the boards, including a 10-5 lead in offensive rebounds, and they forced 17 CBU turnovers while committing 11.

The Lady Bucs return home Thursday night at 5 p.m. as they host Union.
