MEMPHIS-Christian Brothers University freshman forward
Brendan Bennett (Belfast, Northern Ireland, St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School) scored his second goal of the season in the 76th minute to lift the Bucs to a 1-0 win over West Alabama Sunday afternoon.
Bennett's goal broke up the scoreless draw.
Kevin Tikhomiroff (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Complexo Eucacional Contemporaneo) passed to him on the right side of the field nearly 30 yards out. Bennett turned and fired a long shot that found the left side of the net for the game's only goal, his second of the season.

Britton McGuire (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) made five saves in the game for CBU, while UWA's Lavares Stone made four saves.
The win keeps the Bucs in a tie with No. 21 Alabama-Huntsville for first place in the GSC.
The Bucs return to action Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. as they visit Delta State. Their next home match will be Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. when they host Lee.
