Poor Finishing Sinks Bucs 1-0

PENSACOLA, Fla.-The Christian Brothers University Bucs out-shot host West Florida 14-9, but the Argos scored the game's only goal late in the first half to hand the Bucs a 1-0 defeat Sunday afternoon.

The Argos (3-3-1, 2-0 GSC) got the only goal they would need in the 42nd minute as Felipe Oliveira scored on a counterattack off a pass from Alik Morgan.

The Bucs (5-2, 1-1 GSC) controlled much of the action, holding a 12-4 edge in corner kicks in addition to the shooting edge, but they only took five shots on goal, the same total as UWF, and they were unable to solve UWF goalkeeper Andre Moreira. Britton McGuire (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) made four saves for the Bucs, while Moreira stopped all five shots he faced.

The Bucs come home Friday night at 7 p.m. as they host Alabama-Huntsville.
