MEMPHIS-Visiting Lee swept the final doubleheader of the season from the Christian Brothers University Bucs Saturday afternoon.
GAME 1:WHAT HAPPENED:The Flames (28-17-1, 16-13-1 GSC) scored six runs in the top of the first inning as they rolled to a 15-3 win over the Bucs in the series opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• Lee converted two walks, two errors, two singles and a home run into six runs in the top  of the first inning.
• The Flames added three runs to their lead in the top of the third inning on two doubles, an error and a single to extend their advantage to 9-0.
• Lee blew it open in the fourth with six runs on four singles, a double and a home run.
• The Bucs (9-25, 4-20) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Mac Cooley (Bartlett, Tenn./Horn Lake HS) reached on a leadoff single and moved to third when
Caleb Goodwin (Shreveport, La./Evangel Christian Academy) doubled off the fence in center.
Lucas Castleberry (Bryant, Ark./Bryant HS) scored Cooley with a single to center, and
Myles Holliman (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS) scored both Goodwins with another single up the middle to set the final margin.
KEY STATS:• Holliman went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI.
• Cooley was 1-for-3 with a run.
• Caleb Goodwin was 1-for-3 with a double and a run.
• Casey Goodwin was 0-for-1 but walked and was hit by a pitch.
• Castleberry went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
GAME 2:WHAT HAPPENED:The Flames scored in six of seven innings as they rolled to a 13-2 win over the Bucs to sweep the twinbill.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Flames again started strong, scoring a run in the first on an error and two singles.
• Lee added a run to its lead in the second inning on two singles and an error.
• The Flames doubled their lead again in the fourth inning on a pair of home runs.
• Lee extended its lead to 6-0 with two runs in the fourth on a single and a homer.
• The Flames tacked on five runs in the fifth inning on a walk, a single and four doubles.
• CBU broke up the shutout in the bottom of the sixth. Holliman led off with a single.
Joe Mattson (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) drew a walk, and a
Cameron Coker (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS) groundout moved them to second and third. Cooley followed with an RBI single to score Holliman and move Mattson to third. A wild pitch brought Mattson home.
• Lee added two more in the seventh on a double, a walk and three singles.
KEY STATS:•
Riley Kilgore (Cordova, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) went 3-for-3.
• Cooley was 1-for-2 with a hit by pitch.
• Caleb Goodwin went 1-for-3.
• Holliman went 1-for-3 with a run.
