Wilson Scores Again as No. 13 Bucs Win 2-1

JACKSON, Tenn.-Christian Brothers University senior forward Samuel Wilson (Memphis, Tenn., Christian Brothers HS) became the first Buc to score in five consecutive games since 2006 as he led the No. 13 Bucs to a 2-1 win at Union Wednesday night in a non-conference game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Wilson opened the scoring for the Bucs (5-0-0) with his fifth goal in as many games in the 23rd minute, scoring off a feed from Devon Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) after a free kick.
Jannick Baumer (Emmendingen, Germany/Goethe-Gymnasium Emmendingen) scored for the second straight game when he put the Bucs ahead 2-0 in the 59th minute. Wilson earned the assist on Baumer's goal, his first of the season.
• The Bulldogs (2-3-0) halved the CBU lead in the 66th minute as Diogo Dias scored off a Rodrigo Zonta assist.

KEY STATS:
• Union out-shot the Bucs 17-11, with both teams taking six shots on goal.
Britton McGuire (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) made five saves to earn the victory.

NOTABLE:
• Wilson scored for the fifth straight game, becoming the first CBU soccer player since Matt Werakso in 2006 to accomplish the feat. Werakso scored in six straight games from Sept. 24 to Oct. 11, 2006.
