No. 10 Bucs Blank Rhodes 1-0

MEMPHIS-The No. 10 Christian Brothers University Bucs out-shot Rhodes 22-4 Tuesday night as they claimed a 1-0 victory to remain unbeaten.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Bucs (7-0-0) were unable to find the net until their 14th shot, when Devon Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) scored his first goal of the season. On a counterattack after a Rhodes corner kick, Brendan Bennett (Belfast, Northern Ireland/St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School) sent a long ball ahead to Jake Barrett (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS), who crossed it to Jackson for the score.

KEY STATS:
• CBU out-shot Rhodes 6-2 in the first half and 16-2 in the second, including a 7-0 edge in shots on goal.
• Rhodes (3-3-1) goalkeepers Patrick Wilkerson and Riley Sheen combined to make six saves in the game.
• CBU goalkeepers Britton McGuire (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) and David Higgins (Fairview, Tenn./Fairview HS) each played 45 minutes in net as they combined for the shutout.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs return to action Friday night at 7 p.m. as they host Spring Hill for their Gulf South Conference opener. They also play Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. as they host No. 17 West Florida.
