CLEVELAND, Miss.-No. 24 Delta State took advantage of a nine-run second inning as they claimed a 10-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:• The Statesmen (23-10, 16-5 GSC) exploded for nine runs in the second inning on four singles, two doubles and five walks.
• DSU set the final margin with a run in the fifth on a one-out single and a two-out double.
KEY STATS:•
Matthew Mills (Memphis, Tenn./First Assembly Christian School) threw three scoreless innings of relief for the Bucs (7-26, 1-20), pitching around two hits and three walks.
