FLORENCE, Ala.-The Christian Brothers University Bucs missed their first 16 three-pointers and finished just 4-for-28 Saturday afternoon in a 67-63 loss at North Alabama.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (7-5, 2-4 GSC) never trailed in the first half, taking control with a 9-1 run midway through the half that gave them a 19-10 lead on a pair of Dimario Jackson free throws.
• CBU (8-5, 5-2) used a 7-0 run capped by an
Adam Dieball (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) three-point play to take a 54-52 lead with 3:39 remaining in the game, providing the first of five lead changes in a two-minute span late in the game.
• Jackson put the Lions back ahead for good at 60-59 on a jumper with 1:24 remaining, and after CBU was unable to score, Jackson knocked down a triple from the top of the key to give UNA a 63-59 edge with 39 seconds remaining. Jackson and Tavaras Tolliver were a combined 4-for-4 at the free throw line in the final 20 seconds to keep the Bucs at bay.

Jeff Larkin (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle HS) scored a game-high 22 points with three steals.

Brad Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder HS) scored 11 with a career-best nine rebounds.
• Dieball tacked on nine points with nine rebounds and three assists.

Jordan Miller (Fulton, Ky./Fulton City HS) added eight points with two blocks off the bench.
• The Bucs shot 38.1 percent (24-of-63) from the floor, including 14.3 percent (4-of-28) from three-point range. UNA finished 38.9 percent (21-of-54) overall and made 35.3 percent (6-of-17) of their three-pointers.
• The Lions out-rebounded CBU 42-38. Each team grabbed 14 offensive rebounds, with UNA committing 14 turnovers to the Bucs' nine.
