Bucs, Bisons Battle to Draw

SEARCY, Ark.-After more than 88 scoreless minutes, the Christian Brothers University Bucs and host Harding scored 31 seconds apart in the final 1:18 of the game as they played to a 1-1 tie Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Braeden Grundy opened the scoring in the 89th minute for the Bisons, scoring on a one-touch shot from the middle after a cross from Jeremy Nwonumah with 1:18 remaining.
• Just 31 seconds later, Patrick Power (Liverpool, England/St. Mary's College) scored his first career goal as he tapped in a cross from Andrew McKeever (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) for the equalizer. McKeever sent in a cross on a quick restart on a free kick from just beyond the 18-yard box.
• Neither team would score in the overtime, with Harding taking three shots on goal and the Bucs none.

KEY STATS:
• Harding out-shot the Bucs 16-9, including an 11-4 edge in shots on goal.
Viktor Hoestbo (Stenloese, Denmark/Oesterhoejskolen) matched his career-high with 10 saves in the game.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs wrap up the regular season Saturday night at 7 p.m. as they celebrate Senior Night against Ouachita Baptist. The Bucs will play in the GSC quarterfinals Tuesday night, with the opponent and location to be determined by the result of Saturday's game between West Florida and Montevallo.
