SEARCY, Ark.-After more than 88 scoreless minutes, the Christian Brothers University Bucs and host Harding scored 31 seconds apart in the final 1:18 of the game as they played to a 1-1 tie Thursday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Braeden Grundy opened the scoring in the 89th minute for the Bisons, scoring on a one-touch shot from the middle after a cross from Jeremy Nwonumah with 1:18 remaining.
• Just 31 seconds later,
Patrick Power (Liverpool, England/St. Mary's College) scored his first career goal as he tapped in a cross from
Andrew McKeever (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) for the equalizer. McKeever sent in a cross on a quick restart on a free kick from just beyond the 18-yard box.
• Neither team would score in the overtime, with Harding taking three shots on goal and the Bucs none.
