MEMPHIS-Visiting Ouachita Baptist scored the golden goal just 33 seconds into the second overtime Saturday night at Signaigo Field, handing the Christian Brothers University Bucs a 2-1 defeat in the Bucs' final regular season game.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Tigers (7-7-1) struck first in the 49th minute when a foul inside the box awarded the visitors a penalty kick. After drawing the individual foul, Tinashe Chigede took the kick and scored just inside the right post.
• In the 66th minute the Bucs (7-8-1) drew even as
Blake Lashlee (Olive Branch, Miss./Center Hill HS) won the ball on the right side goal line and passed the ball across the box to a sprinting
Patrick Power (Liverpool, England/St. Mary's College) who scored by shooting the ball up and over the goalie.
• Just 33 seconds into the second overtime, Chigede scored his second goal to end the game. The golden goal came from an assist from Michiru Forbess, who played the ball across the box from the right side of field.

• The Bucs out-shot Ouachita 28-27 for the game, including a 9-5 edge in shots on goal.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs resume play next week in the GSC tournament. As the No. 5 seed, the Bucs will visit No. 4 seed Montevallo this Tuesday, with kickoff time to be announced. The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to Friday's semifinal against top-seeded West Alabama in Montgomery, Ala. The championship game will be Sunday afternoon in Montgomery.
