PENSACOLA, Fla.-Host West Florida swept a Gulf South Conference doubleheader from the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon, winning the opener 4-0 and the nightcap 12-2.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Argos (19-10, 11-6 GSC) scored all four runs between the fifth and seventh innings as pitchers Jarrod Petree and Brian Browning combined for a four-hit shutout.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After four scoreless innings, UWF opened the scoring with two in the fifth on four singles and a wild pitch.
• The Argos added a run in the sixth on two singles and a stolen base.
• UWF set the final margin with a run in the seventh on a pair of singles.
KEY STATS:

WHAT HAPPENED:
West Florida exploded for 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take full control en route to a 12-2 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Argos plated 10 runs in the first on four singles, two doubles, a triple and a three-run Ladeavon Matthews homer.
• CBU (9-21, 4-13) scored a pair of runs in the top of the second.
Riley Kilgore (Cordova, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) worked a leadoff walk and scored when
Trey Keppen (Germantown, Tenn./Germantown HS) blasted a two-out homer to left, his first career home run.
• UWF set the final margin with two runs in the bottom of the second on two walks and two singles.
KEY STATS:
• Keppen was 1-for-3 with a homer, a run and two RBI.
