FLORENCE, Ala.-Host North Alabama handed the Christian Brothers University Bucs an 8-0 defeat Monday afternoon in the Bucs' final road game of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (31-15, 21-9 GSC) opened the scoring with two runs in the first, taking advantage of two walks, two singles and an error.
• UNA extended its lead to 4-0 with two in the third on an error and two singles.
• The Lions aded three more runs in the fourth on a walk, a single and two doubles.
• UNA tacked on another run in the seventh on a double, two walks and a groundout.
KEY STATS:

Jeff Goodwin (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) was 1-for-3 with a walk for the Bucs (13-33, 7-23).

Casey Goodwin (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) went 1-for-3.

The Bucs step out of GSC play for the final time this season Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. as they face Rhodes at USA Stadium in Millington. They wrap up the 2017 campaign at home next weekend, hosting Shorter for a noon doubleheader Saturday and a 1 p.m. Senior Day game Sunday.
