Bucs Outlast Lions in Overtime

ST. CHARLES, Mo.-The Christian Brothers University Bucs rallied for a 2-1 overtime win at Lindenwood Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Lions (1-3-0) opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Michele Ganz scored on a penalty.
• CBU (1-3-0) equalized in the 30th minute as Xavi Lao (Barcelona, Spain/Escola Pia Sabadell) scored on a free kick from 25 yards out.
• Lao provided the assist on the game-winner in the 97th minute, sending a through ball to Djordje Djordjovic (Basin, Serbia/Palanacka Gimnazija), who scored on a shot from 11 yards out.

KEY STATS:
• The Bucs out-shot Lindenwood 15-10, including a 7-5 edge in shots on goal.
• Viktor Hoestbo (Stenloese, Denmark/Oesterhoejskolen) made four saves for the Bucs.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs return to action Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. as they host Union to open GSC play.
