MEMPHIS- The Christian Brothers University Bucs scored an early second-half goal to carry the team to a 1-0 victory over Lee University Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Bucs (3-3-0, 2-0-0 GSC) got on the board in the 47th minute as
Brendan Bennet (Belfast, Northern Ireland/St. Mary's Christian Brothers Grammar School) scored his fourth goal of the season, giving him goals in both GSC games this season.
Djordje Djordjovic (Basin, Serbia/Palanacka Gimnazija) and
Xavi Lao (Barcelona, Spain/Escola Pia Sabadell) put high pressure on the Flame's defense, causing the ball to fall out to
Bernado Ferreira (Torres Vedras, Portugal/Secundaria Madeira Torres), who logged the cross and assist to Bennett.
KEY STATS:
• Flames out-shot the Bucs 11-10 on the night, with each team taking two shots on goal.
• CBU came out strong in the second-half to out-shot the Flames 6-4.

Viktor Hoestbo (Stenloese, Denmark/Oesterhoejskolen) logged his second straight shutout of the season, helping the Bucs fend off 8 corner kicks and 10 total shots.
