Bucs Blast Hawks 5-0

ROME, Georgia- The Christian Brothers University Bucs scored a single goal in the first half, but they erupted with four goals in the second half to defeat host Shorter University 5-0 Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
  • The Bucs (5-4-3, 4-1-3 GSC) didn't waste much time to get on the board with Xavi Lao (Barcelona, Spain/Escola Pia Sabadell), getting the feed from James Raptis (London, England/Finchley Catholic), scoring a goal in the 18th minute.
  • Maximillian Galizzi (Puerto Madryn, Argentina/Escuela de la Costa) extended the lead for the Bucs with a goal in the 48th minute, which was assisted by Raptis.
  • Galizzi tacked on another goal for himself and the Bucs with a goal in the 58th minute coming off of a pass from Felipe Rodriguez.
  • Abib Keita (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Germantown HS (Tenn.)) joined in on the scoring with a goal in the 86th minute bringing the score to 4-0.
  • Keita closed out the onslaught for the Bucs with his second goal of the game coming in the 88th minute.

KEY STATS: 
  • The Bucs out-shot the Hawks (1-13-0, 1-8-0) 12-11 for the game, including a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal.
  • Galizzi and Keita both scored two goals each in the match.
