NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana-The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association named the Christian Brothers University men's and women's cross country teams as All-Academic Teams, and they named six runners as All-Academic Individuals.
Jacob Axton (Chino Hills, Calif./Ayala HS),
Nic Pinarski (Lakeland, Tenn./Arlington HS) and
Peter Torres (Chino Hills, Calif./Chino Hills HS) represent the men's team as All-Academic Individuals, while
Beate Allinger (Vienna, Austria/Univ. of Vienna),
Lea Gray (Daytona Beach, Fla./Seabreeze HS) and
Hanna Owen (Rogers, Ark./Heritage HS) represent the women's team as All-Academic Individuals.
The All-Academic Individual awards recognize all student-athletes who have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and finished in the top 30 percent of the NCAA regional or the top half of the NCAA national championships.
The All-Academic Team awards recognize all teams that compile at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and scored in the NCAA regional. The men's team has a 3.28 GPA, and the women's team has a 3.02 GPA.
