Distance Dominance and Record Pace Lead CBU Men at Rhodes Invitational

Memphis, TN- The Christian Brothers University men's track and field team delivered an impressive performance March 20–21 in Memphis, highlighted by multiple event wins and strong depth in the distance races.

Standout performances from Kilian Daude and Erwan Rostan headlined the meet. Daude claimed first place in the 400 meters with a winning time of 49.19, setting the tone for CBU on the track. Rostan matched that effort in the distance events, winning the 800 meters in 1:55.87 and adding another victory in the mile with a time of 4:15.96 to complete a dominant double.

CBU controlled much of the 800 meters, placing five runners in the field. Along with Rostan's win, Barrou Etienne finished third in 1:58.02, while Thomas Saunders (8th), Kylon Higgins (11th), and William McCollough (14th) added depth.

The mile was another strong event for the Buccaneers. Rostan led the way again, followed by Barrou in third (4:21.18) and Basile Chevrel in sixth (4:25.90). Joseph Arriaga (13th), Luke Holcombe (18th), McCollough (25th), and Saunders (34th) rounded out a deep CBU lineup.

In the 5000 meters, Holcombe and Arriaga placed 13th and 14th with times of 15:42.78 and 15:49.70, respectively, continuing the team's steady presence in distance events.

On the sprint side, Ryan Sims led CBU in the 100 meters with a time of 11.43, while Terrial Griffin and Kamren Moore followed. In the 200 meters, Davion Jones paced the team with a time of 24.00 and also competed in the 400, finishing 12th.

Griffin also contributed in the 400 hurdles, placing fifth in 1:05.34 to give the Buccaneers points in another event.

Overall, the meet showcased CBU's strength in the middle- and long-distance races, with Rostan's double victories and Daude's 400-meter win leading a balanced and competitive effort across the board.
