Huntsville, AL- Christian Brothers track and field turned in a productive weekend across multiple events, highlighted by personal best performances, a runner-up finish, and strong depth on both the men's and women's sides.
On the men's side, the middle-distance group led the way with standout performances in the 800 meters. Junior Kilian Daude delivered one of the top results of the meet, finishing second with a personal-best time of 1:50.78. Teammate Erwan Rostan followed with an eighth-place finish and a personal best of 1:53.64. At the same time, Barrou Etienne and Thomas Saunders added depth with solid efforts, including another personal best from Saunders.
Rostan continued his strong weekend in the 1500 meters, placing sixth in 3:54.84, with Barou also contributing a top-15 finish. In the distance events, Luke Holcombe posted a personal-best 15:34.52 in the 5000 meters to place sixth, while freshman William McCollough added a personal best of his own.
In the sprints, Ryan Sims and Terrial Griffin both recorded personal bests in the 100 and 200 meters. Sims led the pair in both events, clocking 11.21 in the 100 and 23.01 in the 200, while Griffin followed closely behind with marks of 11.28 and 23.21. Kylon Higgins represented the Bucs in the 400 meters, finishing in 54.40.
In the field events, Joshua Dabney recorded personal bests in both the shot put (13.63m) and discus (41.29m), continuing his steady progression this season.
On the women's side, Kaley Byrd turned in one of the top performances of the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase, clocking a personal-best 11:39.77. Gioia Scopel also had a strong showing, placing eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal best of 1:15.03 and finishing fourth in the high jump at 1.55 meters.
The Bucs saw additional progress in the sprints, where Madison Woolridge recorded personal bests in both the 100 meters (13.02) and 200 meters (27.52). Danielle Booker added a solid performance in the 400 meters, while the 4x100 relay team placed third with a time of 50.78.
In the distance events, Laura De Llano led the way in the 800 meters, with Phoebe Steel and Anna Angelliki Zannetou contributing across both the 800 and 1500 meters, including a personal best from Zannetou.
Overall, Christian Brothers showcased growth and consistency throughout the meet, with numerous personal bests and competitive finishes signaling continued momentum as the season progresses.
