Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers put together a well-rounded and productive meet, highlighted by event wins, podium finishes, and a strong number of personal bests across both the men's and women's squads.
Sprints: Growth and Depth Continue
The Bucs showed steady progress in the sprint events, led by Ryan Sims, who competed in both the 100 and 200 meters. Sims posted times of 11.56 in the 100 and 23.50 in the 200, continuing to lead the sprint group.
Freshman Terrial Griffin added depth with times of 11.58 in the 100 and a personal-best 23.72 in the 200, showing development as the season progresses.
On the women's side, Madison Woolridge and Micaiah Halliburton represented Christian Brothers in the 100 meters, while Danielle Booker (27.74 PB), Laura De Llano (27.96 PB), and Woolridge (28.22) competed in the 200.
400 Meters: Daude Leads with a Win
Kilian Daude delivered one of the top performances of the meet, winning the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 48.62. Teammates Kylon Higgins (53.36 PB), Davion Jones (54.66), and Thomas Saunders (55.19 PB) added depth in the event.
For the women, Danielle Booker (1:00.41) and Laura De Llano (1:00.79 PB) turned in strong performances in the 400 meters.
Distance Events: Consistency Across the Board Christian Brothers Delivers Across Events with Wins, Personal Bests
Christian Brothers distance runners continued to show consistency across multiple events.
In the 800 meters, Thomas Saunders ran a personal-best 2:01.71, while Luke Holcombe followed with a 2:05.91 PB. Kilian Daude also doubled back to post a 2:11.12 PB.
Luke Holcombe ran a personal-best 4:10.27, while earlier in the meet, Erwan Rostan delivered a standout performance with a personal-best 3:47.14. Barrou Etienne added a 3:58.40 effort.
On the women's side, Anna angeliki Zannetou posted a personal-best 5:13.98 in the 1500 and added a 2:31.25 PB in the 800, while Phoebe Steel ran 2:24.65 in the 800.
In the 5000 meters, William McCollough turned in a strong fourth-place finish with a personal-best 16:22.16.
Jumps: Bucs Shine with Titles and Podium Finishes
The jumps group delivered some of the biggest highlights of the meet.
On the women's side, Christian Brothers dominated the high jump, with Gioia Scopel clearing 1.62m to win the event and Alexis Goodman finishing tied for second at 1.57m.
In the long jump, Denise Brouwer added a mark of 4.71m to round out the field event performances.
Steeplechase Adds Another Podium
Freshman Kaley Byrd earned a second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 12:04.27, adding another podium result for the Bucs.
