Christian Brothers standout Erwan Rostan delivered a breakthrough performance this past weekend, turning in one of the top races in program history at Ole Miss.
Rostan placed second in the 1500 meters while setting a new school record with a time of 3:47.14, a mark that not only rewrites the CBU record book but also puts him firmly in the national conversation.
NCAA Qualifying Mark Secured
With the performance, Rostan achieved an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time for the national championship. His result currently ranks him 30th in the nation, while also placing him second in the South Region and second in the Gulf South Conference.
The time represents a major step forward as Rostan continues to climb the rankings late in the season.
International Opportunity Ahead
In addition to his collegiate success, Rostan's performance has earned him a spot at the Under-23 National Championships in France, set to take place in July at the country's Olympic stadium. The opportunity gives him a chance to compete on an international stage while continuing his strong 2026 campaign.
Eyes on the Top 24
With two races remaining in the regular season, Rostan will look to improve his time and move into the top 24 nationally, the cutoff for qualification to the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Currently healthy and showing steady improvement each week, Rostan is trending in the right direction at the most important point of the season.
As the postseason approaches, his record-setting run signals both individual momentum and a significant milestone for the Christian Brothers program.
