MEMPHIS-Visiting Northwestern Oklahoma State scored six runs in two different innings en route to a 14-5 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Sunday afternoon at Nadicksbernd Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Rangers (3-0) plated six in the first on a walk, three singles and three doubles.
• CBU (0-3) shaved a run off the deficit in the bottom of the inning.
Keagan Voss (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) led off with a single through the left side, and
TJ Klutts (Atoka, Tenn./Brighton HS) followed with a single to center. After a
Jared Cramer (Olive Branch, Miss./DeSoto Central HS) groundout moved them over to second and third, a
Brandon Dodd (Arlington, Tenn./Arlington HS) groundout scored Voss.
• Northwestern Oklahoma State added six more in the fifth on a hit batter, two singles, three walks and two doubles.
• The Bucs took advantage of a big error to score four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Parker Jordan (Southaven, Miss./Briarcrest Christian HS) led off with a single, and
Taylor Angley-Holman (Redding, Calif./Enterprise HS) reached on a one-out error. After Angley-Holman was out when
Jeff Goodwin (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) grounded into a force play, the Bucs' bats broke out. Voss plated Jordan and Goodwin with a two-run double to left-center and scored on a Klutts double to right-center. Cramer followed with an RBI single to right-center to cut the deficit to 12-5.
• The Rangers added a run in the top of the eighth on three singles.
• Northwestern Oklahoma State tacked on another in the ninth on a single, a walk, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
KEY STATS:
• Voss went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
• Klutts was 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
• Cramer went 2-for-4.

Garrett Stebbins-Johnson (Jacksonville, Fla./Providence School of Jacksonville) threw two and two-thirds scoreless innings of relief as he pitched around two hits and two walks.
WHAT'S NEXT:
The Bucs play four games on the road in Arkansas next week. They visit Harding for a midweek game Tuesday night at 6 p.m. before visiting Arkansas-Monticello for a three-game series next weekend. Their next home game is Friday, Feb. 16, when they host William Jewell at 1 p.m.
