MEMPHIS-After falling behind 6-0 early, the Christian Brothers University Bucs scored five straight runs to pull within a run before losing 9-5 to Harding Tuesday afternoon at Nadicksbernd Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Bisons (15-16) scored twice with one out in the top of the first on a walk and back-to-back doubles.
• Harding atted four in the second on a leadoff homer by Jack Thomas and three more runs on a double, two singles and an error.
• CBU (9-21) broke through with two runs in the bottom of the third.
Keagan Voss (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) led off with a bunt single, and
Nick Traylor (Germantown, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) worked a one-out walk. After a
Jaime Soto (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) flyout moved them up to second and third,
Taylor Angley-Holman (Redding, Calif./Enterprise HS) scored them with a single to center to cut the deficit to 6-2.
• The Bucs closed within a run with a three-run rally in the sixth.
Larry Hubbard (Collierville, Tenn./St. George's Independent HS) opened the inning with a single and moved to third on a
Brandon Dodd (Arlington, Tenn./Arlington HS) single.
Parker Jordan (Southaven, Miss./Briarcrest Christian HS) followed with an RBI single to left. After
Jared Cramer (Olive Branch, Miss./DeSoto Central HS) sacrificed them to second and third, singles by Voss and
TJ Klutts (Atoka, Tenn./Brighton HS) scored them to bring the Bucs within 6-5.
• The Bisons scored two in the top of the seventh on a one-out walk and a two-run Grant Guest homer to left.
• Harding set the final margin with a run in the eighth on a leadoff walk, an error and a single.

• Klutts went 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI.
• Voss was 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
• Jordan went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and one RBI.
• Angley-Holman was 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Kyle Raburn (Millington, Tenn./Evangelical Christian School) threw an inning and a third of scoreless relief, pitching around three walks and a hit with two strikeouts.

Jonathan Baldelli (Bartlett, Tenn./Bartlett HS) threw a scoreless ninth, allowing no hits and no walks.

The Bucs hit the road this weekend for a three-game GSC series at Delta State. They play a doubleheader Friday and a single game Saturday, both set to start at 2 p.m. Their next home game is next Tuesday at 3 p.m. as they host Rhodes.
