MONTGOMERY, Alabama-In both games of Saturday's doubleheader, host Auburn-Montgomery broke a tie in their final trip to the plate, handing the Christian Brothers University Bucs a 4-2 loss in game one and a 1-0 loss in the nightcap.
GAME 1:
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Bucs (10-35, 4-23 GSC) rallied for two runs in the eighth to tie the game, but AUM (20-26, 9-18) scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to claim a 4-2 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Warhawks opened the scoring in the bottom of the fifth with a run on a hit batter, a walk and a single.
• AUM doubled its edge an inning later on a two-out homer by Jonathan Brandt.
• CBU tied the score in the top of the eight.
Jaime Soto (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) led off with a walk, and
Jared Cramer (Olive Branch, Miss./DeSoto Central HS) followed with a single up the middle. After
Parker Jordan (Southaven, Miss./Briarcrest Christian HS) legged out a bunt single, a throwing error scored Soto and sent Soto to third, but Jordan was tagged out trying to advance to second.
Brandon Dodd (Arlington, Tenn./Arlington HS) followed with a game-tying sacrifice fly to score Cramer.
• The Warhawks scored twice in the bottom of the eighth on three singles, an error, a walk and a wild pitch.
KEY STATS:
• Cramer went 2-for-4 with a double and a run.
• Jordan was 2-for-3 with a sacrifice.
• Dodd went 1-for-2 with a walk, a sacrifice fly and one RBI.

Peyton Sanderlin (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) threw his sixth complete game of the season, allowing four runs as he scattered seven hits and four walks.
GAME 2:
WHAT HAPPENED:
After six scoreless innings, the Warhawks scored the game's only run with one out in the bottom of the seventh to win 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Will Rutledge (Nashville, Tenn./Father Ryan HS) escaped early trouble, pitching out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the first, but he settled down and didn't allow multiple baserunners again until the seventh, retiring eleven straight batters over the second through sixth innings.
• AUM scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, loading the bases on a leadoff double and two one-out walks before a single ended the game.
KEY STATS:
• Rutledge threw his second consecutive complete game, allowing one run on five hits and four walks over six and a third innings, striking out three.

Keagan Voss (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) went 2-for-2.
•
Luke Wewers (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic HS) was 1-for-2.

The Bucs step out of GSC play for the final time Tuesday night at 6 p.m. as they visit Tennessee-Martin. Their next home game is Saturday at noon as they host a doubleheader against Union.
