BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team had freshman
Darcy Doran and junior
Taylor Williams highlighted on the 2019-20 Gulf South Conference Top Newcomers list.
The Lady Bucs, who will be led by first year head coach
Jessie Carmack, were tabbed 12th in the 2019-20 GSC Preseason Coaches Poll.
Williams transfers to CBU after playing her freshman season at Tennessee State University, before spending her second collegiate season at Florida Southwestern State. Last season, she averaged 3.2 points in 32 contests.
Doran, a Franklin, Tenn. native was named to the All-District 11 AAA team following her senior campaign at Franklin High School.
The Lady Bucs are scheduled to open their season on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in an exhibition game, at the University of Memphis. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
