HUNTSVILLE - The Christian Brothers University Bucs played an evenly matched contest against the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Sunday morning. Both teams were tied at 2-2 after regulation, which led to two overtime periods where neither team was able to score. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Chargers scored the first goal of the game in the 28th minute as Rafa Moreno scored off of a pass from Ethan Wilson.
- Caleb Tammi knocked in the equalizer two minutes before halftime, which was assisted by Felipe Rodrigues.
- UAH's Micheal Weston scored the go-ahead goal in the 52nd minute, which came off of a perfectly placed pass from Antonio Goncalves.
- Maxi Galizzi took it into his own hands to knot the game up at 2-2 with a goal in the 82nd minute.
- Both teams went scoreless in the two overtime periods.
KEY STATS:
- Galizzi's goal in the match brings his total to six on the season. He currently sits tied for fourth in the GSC with most goals this season.
- Tammi's goal and Rodrigues' assist are their first of the season.
- UAH outshot CBU 18-12.
- Wayne Davis recorded five saves in the match.
