Mississippi College Completes Sweep Against CBU

MEMPHIS, Tennessee- The Mississippi College Choctaws used two dominant pitching performances and key hitting to sweep the double header against Christian Brothers University Saturday afternoon.


GAME 1: Mississippi College (21-12, 14-5 GSC) 6, CBU (8-24, 4-16 GSC) 1

GAME CHANGER
  • An impressive pitching performance by the Choctaw's starter, Garrett Hollinghead, held the Bucs' offense to only six hits and one earned run.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • All nine of the MC starters reached base safely. 
  • The Choctaws outhit the Bucs 10-6.
  • J.D. Goodspeed has reached base safely in six consecutive games.
  • Both teams combined for 15 runners left on base.
  • Six of the nine starters for the Bucs recorded a base knock.
  • Jeff Goodwin knocked in CBU's only run of the game.
