LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team lead by five points at halftime, but West Alabama found its rhythm in a 47-40 second half, and held on for a 71-69 victory, on Thursday, at Pruitt Hall.
With the victory, the Tigers swept the season series with CBU. UWA has also won four of the last five meetings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bucs lead for all but 3:16 of the opening half, and took a 29-24 lead into halftime.
- Mitchell Mays had 16 points in the first half.
- The Tigers found new life in the second half, going on a 25-10 run to take a 63-48 lead, with 6:38 left.
- Brad Miller hit a three pointer, with 54 seconds left, to get the Bucs back within three (69-66).
- The Tigers got a layup with 29 seconds left, and saw CBU hit a three pointer with three seconds left, to finish the scoring.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The Tigers shot 63 percent in the second half (20-for-32) and 52 percent for the game.
- UWA owned the glass, 36-27.
- Mays finished with a game high 22 points and eight rebounds. He has averaged 18 points over the last five contests.
- Jacob Lyons also helped the cause with 17 points, while Malik Jones added 14.
