MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Montevallo outscored the Christian Brothers University men's basketball team 43-36, in the second half, and held on for a 76-74 win, on Saturday afternoon, at the Student Activity Center.
The Bucs have now dropped consecutive games by two points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- An closely contested first half, in which neither team lead by more than five points, finished with the Bucs up 38-33.
- CBU was on fire in the first half, shooting 16-of-25 (64 percent).
- The Falcons opened the second half on a 14-2 run to take a 49-40 lead with 15:34 left.
- CBU fought back and took a 62-60 lead with 8:31 left.
- After the Falcons lead 71-67 with two minutes remaining, a layup by Daryl Lewis got CBU to within 73-71, with 23 seconds left.
- Montevallo missed a free throw with five seconds left, but the Bucs saw their final shot come up just short.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- CBU finished the game 29-of-58 from the field, but was just 7-of-22 from long range.
- The Falcons were 28-of-56, including 15-of-29 in the second half.
- Brad Miller led the Bucs with 19 points and seven assists.
- Mitchell Mays added 15 points and nine rebounds.
