Bucs Fall in Extra Innings at Miles

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Christian Brothers University baseball team scored a run to tie the game in the ninth, but Miles scored the game-winner in the 10th inning to earn a 4-3 victory, on Saturday, at historic Rickwood Field.  
  
FINAL SCORE:  Miles 4 (2-3), CBU 3 (0-3)  
 
GAME CHANGER:
- The Bucs left 10 runners on base in the loss. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Bucs outhit the hosts 9-8.
- Larry Hubbard and Keagan Voss recorded two hits apiece for the Bucs. Voss had the lone RBI of the game for CBU. 
- The Bucs stole eight bases. 
- CBU starting pitcher Blake Dallas allowed just three runs, on six hits, in eight innings with four strikeouts.

KEY PLAYS:
- After Miles took a 1-0 lead in the fourth, the Bucs answered with two in the fifth.
- CBU scored its first runs off the bat of Voss. 
- Miles tied the game at two, in the eighth, on an RBI triple. The Golden Bears then took the lead on a wild pitch. 
- The Bucs tied the game in the ninth, taking advantage of an error following a stolen base. 
- Miles loaded the bases, with two outs in the 10th, and scored the winning run following a walk.  

UP NEXT:
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Sunday, Feb. 9, when they wrap up the series with Miles. First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m.
