MEMPHIS - The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team held Lane to just 30 percent shooting, in a 59-43 win, on Monday night, at Canale Arena.
The Bucs earned their first win of the season, holding Lane to just 19 second half points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bucs opened up an early 12-4 lead, but Lane responded with a 7-2 run to cut the deficit to 14-11 midway through the half.
- Lane gained momentum, taking a 24-19 lead, but the Bucs scored the final five points of the half to tie the game at 24.
- The teams combined for just 3-of-19 from three point range, in the opening 20 minutes, with the Bucs going 2-for-13.
- With 14:29 left, a three pointer by the Dragons cut the lead to 37-35.
- The CBU defense clamped down the rest of the way, as it held Lane to just eight points the rest of the way.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- The Bucs held Lane to just 15-of-50 (30 percent) from the field, including 5-of-22 (23 percent) in the final 20 minutes.
- Lane was just 4-for-16 from long-range.
- CBU shot 44 percent (24-of-54) from the field, but were just 4-of-22 from three point range.
- Lane outrebounded the Bucs 35-32.
- CBU forced 22 Lane miscues.
- Christian Jones led the Bucs with 13 points, while Luke Gdowski rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.
- Aiden Ruthsatz and Jesse Payne IV finished with eight points apiece. Ruthsatz also added seven rebounds.
- Daniel Loos finished with seven points and a game-high eight boards.
