MEMPHIS - Visiting Lee defeated the
Christian Brothers University men's basketball team 69-66, on Saturday afternoon, at Canale Arena. CBU had a potential game-tying three pointer fall short at the buzzer.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 4-1, in the opening minutes, the Bucs used a 13-4 run to take a 14-8 lead, with 14:10 left in the first half.
- The Flames used a run of their own to lead 29-22 with 2:35 remaining in the half.
- After a layup by Nick Deifel, Lee made one of its own, with 43 seconds left, to take a 31-27 lead at the half.
- Lee shot 12-of-21 (57 percent) in the first half, including 3-for-5 from three point range.
- A closely contested opening 10 minutes of the second half saw neither team lead by more than four points.
- Jayce Willingham knocked down a jumper to give the visitors a 63-56 lead, with 4:31 left.
- After CBU had cut the lead to 63-60, the Flames scored four straight to lead 67-60, with 80 seconds left.
- Following a Diefel three pointer, Lee knocked down a pair of free throws, with 46 seconds remaining.
- With 39 seconds left, Daniel Loos converted a three point play to get the Bucs within three points.
- On the Flames next possession Jesse Payne IV knocked away a pass to give CBU a chance to tie the game, but the shot at the buzzer fell just short.
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES:
- Daniel Loos finished with a game-high 22 points with six rebounds. Loos finished the last two games averaging 24 points and six rebounds.
- Nick Deifel added 17 points to round out the CBU double-figure scorers.
- Lee finished the contest 56 percent from the floor (25-of-45), while CBU was 50 percent shooting (26-52).
