Auburn Montgomery Pitches Way to Win Over Bucs

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Auburn Montgomery starting pitcher Micah Henderson allowed just two hits in 6.2 innings to help the Warhawks earn a 7-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University baseball team, on Sunday, at QV Lowe Field.

With the win, the Warhawks earned the series sweep.

GAME CHANGER:
- Warhawks starting pitcher Micah Henderson allowed just two hits and had nine strikeouts.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Warhawks finished the game with a 9-2 advantage in hits. 
- Travis Cole pitched 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on four hits.
- Larry Hubbard went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk.
- Antonio Fernandez went 1-for-3 with a double.

KEY PLAYS:
- Fernandez, the second batter of the game for CBU, doubled in the first inning, but was left stranded. 
- AUM combined for six runs in the fifth and sixth inning.
- Cole allowed just one hit through four innings, before the Warhawks big fifth inning. 
- CBU had a 2-1 hit advantage after the second inning.

UP NEXT:
The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 20 for their home opener against Lee University. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
