BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Christian Brothers University women's basketball team swept the Gulf South Conference West Division weekly awards, which were announced on Tuesday. Brynne Lytle was named GSC West Division Player of the Week and Emily Jones earned GSC West Freshman of the Week honors. 

This marks the thirds honor of the season for Lytle, and the eighth of her career. Emily Jones has now earned three GSC West Freshman of the Week awards. 

Last week, in a split with in-state rival Union, Lytle averaged 31 points, and seven rebounds per game. In an 84-57 throttling of Union, Lytle scored 33 to become the program's all-time leading scorer, with 1,554 career points. 

Jones finished the two game set with Union averaging 21.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. In Saturday's win over the Lady Bulldogs, Jones poured in a career high 29 points.
