MEMPHIS - Christian Brothers University head women's basketball coach
Jessie Carmack has been selected to speak at an upcoming panel for National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Prior to the University of Memphis women's basketball game, a panel consisting of women who currently hold positions with area sports teams will take place in the Rose Theater from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Attendees of the panel will receive a special $2 group rate ticket to the women's basketball game.
Members of the panel include:
- Lauren Ashman Executive Associate Athletics Director and Senior Women's Administrator for the University of Memphis
- Jessie Carmack, Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations, Senior Women's Administrator and Head Women's Basketball Coach at Christian Brothers University
- Abusheri Ohwofasa, Vice President, Community Engagement & Exec. Director at the Memphis Grizzlies
- Stella Woodley, Athletics Compliance and Academic Coordinator, Senior Women's Administrator at LeMoyne-Owen College
"I am honored to be chosen to speak on this panel during the year of the 50th anniversary of Title IX," said Carmack. "As we strive to empower young women in sport, it is important to continue to have these conversations."
