Brescia Uses Big Second Half to Defeat Bucs

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Brescia outscored the Christian Brothers University men's basketball team 38-26, in the second half, to earn a 64-58 win, on Monday night, at The Moore Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • An evenly played opening 10 minutes saw the scored tied at 17. 
  • CBU closed the first half on a 7-2 run to take a 32-26 lead into halftime. 
  • The Bucs shot 42 percent in the first half (12-29), while holding the Bearcats to just 30. 
  • After the Bucs took a 36-27 lead in the first two minutes of the second half, the hosts responded with a 9-2 run that cut the lead to 38-36 with 15:29 left. 
  • A pair of free throws from Nick Deifel gave the Bucs a 46-39 lead with 13:36 left. 
  • The Bearcats tied the game at 50 with 7:22 remaining. 
  • Brescia finished the final 3:36 on a 7-2 run to earn the win.

  • The Bearcats shot 57 percent in the second half (12-21) and knocked down 4-7 from three point range.
