Union Shoots Way Past Bucs

MEMPHIS - Union knocked down 12 three pointers to help it earn a 77-62 win over the Christian Brothers University men's basketball team, on Friday night, at Canale Arena.  Tylandrius Parks scored 33 points to help the Bulldogs earn the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Union led 25-20 after the opening 11 minutes of the contest. 
  • The Bulldogs took a 44-33 lead into halftime. 
  • Union hit 15 of its 29 shots, in the first half, including six three pointers. 
  • The Bucs were 14-32 in the opening half.  
  • Just over seven minutes into the second half, Union stretched its lead to 17 points (54-37).
  • CBU trimmed the lead to 57-47, with 8:32 left, but Union used an 18-10 spurt to pull away. 
KEY STATS | NOTEABLES
  • The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the floor (27-54), including 12-26 from three point range. Parks finished the game 8-9 from long range. 
  • CBU finished the contest 26-59 (44 percent), but made just 5-17 from three point range. 
  • Madison Monroe led the Bucs with 16 points, while Kam Vick chipped in 13. 
UP NEXT:
CBU is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 6, when they host Indianapolis for a non-conference contest. Tipoff is set for 6 PM.
