JACKSON, Tenn. - Christian Brothers University women's basketball player
Emily Jones has been named Second Team All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).
The Jackson, Tenn., native earned her first career all-region honor after finishing the season as the leading scorer in the Gulf South Conference (20.2 PPG). Jones also led the league with an 87 percent free throw percentage.
Jones is the lone underclassman (freshman-sophomore) to earn All-South Region honors. She scored at least 25 points in a game nine different times, including tying for a career-high with 29 points at West Georgia.
