BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Christian Brothers University track and field athlete
Kendall King was named Gulf South Conference Indoor Track Freshman Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the GSC track and field coaches, the league announced, on Wednesday, March 2nd.
King is first Track & Field Freshman Athlete of the Year for Christian Brothers, since Emma Montoya in 2018.
At the GSC Indoor Championships, King finished sixth in the triple jump and seventh in the 200.
King currently holds four top-20 results in the South Region.
60 meters- 7.91 (19th)
200 meters- 25.85 (9th)
Long Jump- 5.13 (19th)
Triple Jump- 11.53 (3rd)
King and her teammates return to action on Saturday, March 5th as they compete in the Mississippi College Outdoor Season Opener in Clinton, Miss.
