MEMPHIS- The Christian Brothers University baseball team earned it first Gulf South Conference series win since 2018, with an 11-9 victory over West Alabama, on Sunday afternoon, at Nadicksbernd Field.
The Bucs last GSC series win was against West Alabama (March 24-25, 2018).

KEY PLAYS:
- The Bucs got on the board early with an RBI-double by McDaniel to take a 1-0 lead.
- UWA tied the game in the third with a two-out RBI double.
- The Tigers took a 2-1 lead after Josh Bower's homerun.
- In the fourth, the Bucs took advantage of a Tigers miscue and rallied with seven runs to take an 8-2 lead.
- The Tigers fought back with five runs in the fifth to cut the deficit to 8-7.
- In the fifth, the Tigers walked the bases-loaded before Fernandez drove in two with an RBI-single.
- After plating two in the ninth, the Tigers put the tying run on base, but Smith got Houston Kitterman to ground into a fielders choice to end the game.
