MEMPHIS- The Christian Brothers University baseball team dropped an 8-6 decision to Rhodes, on Wednesday afternoon, at Stauffer Field.
FINAL: RHODES 8 (12-10-1), CBU 6 (8-16)
GAME CHANGER:
- After CBU took a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the second inning, the hosts scored eight of the next nine runs to win the contest.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Rhodes finished with a 15-4 advantage in hits.

Jarret Fowlkes led the Bucs, going 1-for-1 with a double, four walks and a run.

KEY PLAYS:
- The Bucs got on the board early with a sac-fly by
Van True, scoring Fowlkes from second, to take a 1-0 lead.
- In the second, the Bucs capitalized on three straight hit by pitches to extend their lead to 4-0.
- The Lynx cut the deficit in half with two runs in the bottom of the second.
- Rhodes took advantage of back-to-back walks to trail 6-5 after five.
- After a stolen base, the Lynx tied the game at six with an RBI single.
- The Lynx took the lead with two runs in the eighth.
- With the tying run on base, Rhodes reliever John Fears collected his third strikeout of the game to hold on for the win.
- Rhodes relievers allowed just one hit over the final six innings.
