Bucs Drop Series Finale to West Florida


*GAME ONE (RESUMED FROM SATURDAY): WEST FLORIDA  7 (9-5, 7-1 GSC), CBU 5 (5-9, 1-4 GSC) (9) 
 
GAME CHANGER:
- The Argonauts used a two out rally in the ninth, using back-to-back singles.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Argonauts finished with a 10-6 advantage in hits.
- Jarret Fowlkes led the Bucs with two hits.
- Kelton Castillo, Antonio Fernandez, Alex Meadows and Travis Cole each recorded a hit.
- CBU starting pitcher Sam Brumbaugh surrendered two runs, one earned, on four hits, in 5.0 innings. He also racked up a career-high six strikeouts.
- Relief pitcher, Jackson Ryan, struckout four of the eight hitters he faced. 

KEY PLAYS:
- In the eighth, Jack Schad, of UWF, delivered a go-ahead pinch-hit single as the Argonauts led 5-3, heading into the bottom of the eighth.
- As the Bucs trailed by two, Travis Cole delivered a game-tying pinch-hit double with two outs to tie the game at 5.
- Meadows grounded out to shortstop to end the inning.
- After West Florida scored two in the ninth, UWF reliever, Sean Means, shut the Bucs down in order to secure the win.

- The Argonauts scored seven runs in the second inning.

- The Argonauts finished with a 13-4 advantage in hits.
- Antonio Fernandez led the Bucs with two hits, including a double.
- Jarret Fowlkes and Alex Meadows also recorded a hit.
- CBU starting pitcher Garrett Dooley surrendered seven runs, on five hits, in 2.0 innings.

KEY PLAYS:
- West Florida sent 12 batters to the plate in a seven run second inning.
- The Argonauts capitalized on two wild pitches to take a 10-0 lead after three. 
- Mark Townsend, of UWF, launched a three-run home run to left field to grow the lead to 13-0.
-UWF finished the scoring with a run in the seventh.

The Bucs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 8th, when they host non-conference foe Ouachita Baptist. First pitch is scheduled for 1 PM.
