BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After earning a pair of wins for the Christian Brothers University track & field team, Kendall King and Marc Crespi have been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced on Wednesday. 

King earned her first career outdoor honor after winning the triple jump at the outdoor season opener at Mississippi College (3.5). Her distance of 12.09 meters hit the provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
Crespi also earned his first GSC Freshman of the Week honor after claiming first place in the 400 Dash at Mississippi College in 49.17.

Both teams are scheduled to return to action on Friday, Mar. 18th, when they take part in the Rhodes Invitational.
