Bucs Stay Unbeaten With Win at McKendree

LEBANON, Ill. - The Christian Brothers University men's soccer team used a goal in the seventh minute, from Ryoya Yoshikawa, and held on for a 1-0 win over McKendree, on Saturday afternoon at Leemon Field

FINAL SCORE:
CBU  1 (3-0-1)
McKendree 0 (2-1-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
7' | Ryoya Yoshikawa scored what proved to be the game-winner in the opening minutes, when his long-range strike, from nearly 30 yards out, found the top corner. 
HALF | The Bearcats held a 7-4 advantage in shots at the break. 
FINAL | The Bucs allowed just one shot in the final 20 minutes to hold on for the win. 

KEY STATS | NOTEABLES
  • The goal for Yoshikawa was his second in as many games. 
  • Maryville finished with an 11-6 advantage in shots, but the Bucs finished with a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. 
  • Max Klink earned his second straight shutout. 
  • The Bucs have not allowed a goal in over 183 minutes.
