GAME CHANGER:
After CBU took a 3-1 lead, after four innings, the Blazers scored nine of the next 10 runs to win the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- VSU outhit the Bucs 13-9.
- Clay Facteau and Nick Stamper led CBU with two hits each. The pair were also responsible for the two CBU RBIs.
- A double by Stamper was the lone extra base hit for CBU.
- The Bucs left 10 runners stranded.
- CBU starting pitcher Charlie Faoro surrendered two runs, one earned, on five hits, in four innings.
KEY PLAYS:
After three scoreless innings, VSU opened the scoring with an RBI double.
In the bottom of the fourth, CBU took a 3-1 lead using an RBI single by Stamper and also capitalizing on a VSU miscue.
Trailing 3-2, the Blazers took the lead for good with four runs in the sixth.
The Blazers scored in each of the last three innings which included a pair in the ninth.
CBU scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to finish the scoring.
