CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Christian Brothers University track and field teams earned nine top-three finishes at the Gulf South Conference Track and Field Championships, at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.

CBU had a pair of event victories, four runner-ups and three bronze medal finishes. 

WOMEN'S NOTABLES: 

• After earning the gold medal in the high jump at the GSC Indoor Championships, Gioia Scopel completed the season-sweep with a win at the GSC Track and Field Championships. Scopel won the event with a record-breaking effort of 1.69m (5-06.50). The Belluno, Italy native also earned a bronze medal with a third place finish in the 100m hurdles (14.71). 
• Johanna Wistokat broke the GSC record with a 17:08.04 to finish as the runner-up in the 5000m. 
• The 4x400m team of Talia Pfeifer, Ana Iglesias, Isabella Zurita and Oriana Gee finished in second place with a 3:53.14.
• Sarah Delgado crossed the line with a new personal-best time of 2:12.45 to earn a bronze medal in the 800. 

MEN'S NOTABLES: 

• Marc Crespi came home in 53.58 to earn a win in the 400m hurdles. 
• Freshman Steven Conrad claimed the silver medal in the shot put with a 15.22 (49-11.25). Conrad also earned the silver medal in the same event at the indoor championships. 
• Juan Jose De La Rosa earned a third place finish in the 800, crossing the line in 1:52.18.
• The 4x400m team of De La Rosa, Andreas Demetriades, Crespi and Leo Stefanski earned a third place finish with a season-best time of 3:12.19.
