Bopp, Maybee Named All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Christian Brothers University men's golf student-athletes Caleb Bopp and Daniel Maybee have been named NCAA Division II All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

214 NCAA Division II athletes from 80 schools earned 2022-23 GCAA All-America Scholar honors.

To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

Bopp finished the season with a 73.56 scoring average, and had two top-10 finishes. Bopp earned individual medalist honors at the CBU Buccaneer Spring Classic, where he finished -8 under par. His score included a second round 65, which was tied for the lowest competitive round at Irene Golf Club. 

Maybee wrapped up the campaign with a 75.60 scoring average and three top-20 finishes. His best finish was a tie for 10th place at the Union Spring Bulldog Bash.
