MEMPHIS – The Christian Brothers University men's basketball team erased a 15-point second half deficit in an 83-77 win over Union, on Thursday night, at Canale Arena.
With the win, the Bucs swept the season series from their in-state rivals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- At the midway point of the first half, with the Bucs trailing 19-11, a jumper by Christian Jones cut the deficit to six.
- Union outscored CBU 17-10 the rest of the way to take a 45-33 lead at the half.
- The visitors hit 17 of their 38 shots (45 percent), including 7-18 from beyond the three-point line.
- CBU was limited to just 34 percent (11-32), and hit just one of its seven three-pointers.
- Less than 20 seconds into the second half, Devaki Garr knocked down a three-pointer to give the Bulldogs a 48-33 lead.
- The Bucs responded with a 26-11 spurt to tie the game at 59, at the midway point of the second half.
- CBU then scored the next seven points to take a 66-59 lead, with 7:44 left.
- After Ahmad Johnson scored to cut the CBU lead to 74-72, with three minutes left, the Bucs scored the next seven points to earn the win.
